China Pavilion in Warsaw

On the 14th of November 2013, China delegation will hold a series of side events and a theme exhibition -- ’A Low-Carbon China ’ during the Warsaw Climate Change Conference. China dedicates to propagate our effort and achievements of actively addressing climate change, as well as carry forward the cooperation and communication between China and the international communities, through different forms of activities including: high-level forums, seminars, exhibition and interaction at the conference.

This year, the China Pavilion keeps the former traditional Chinese style of design for the last two conferences on the premise, however more focuses on the real action of addressing climate change. We blend the ideas of ’low carbon consumption’, ‘low energy consumption’, ‘environment protection’ and other themes related to addressing climate change together into the design of the atmosphere of the China Pavilion.

There will be 17 side events held by the China delegation in total and the organizations involved in planning and organizing the activities are: China Expert Panel on Climate Change, Climate Change Department of The National Development and Reform Commission, Social Development Department of The Ministry of Science and Technology, The National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation, China News Service, China Green Carbon Foundation, CAS, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, CASS, WRI, Worldwide Fund of Nature, The BBC World Service Foundation, International Network for Bamboo and Rattan, Oxfam, etc. The side events are divided into four main parts, they are: domestic low carbon development and carbon emissions trading, international cooperation, think tank, and climate communication; the events especially focus on displaying the results of progressing regional low-carbon development and carbon trading pilots, which reinforce international cooperation and exchanges and also serve to stimulate and raise the public awareness.
